April 24, Yekaterinburg Administration with the support of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a roundtable "Open Governance: Assessment of Regulatory Impact, Dialogue between Business and Government and Reduction of Administrative Barriers."

The international roundtable "Social Problems of Youth in the Eurasia Space: Ways and Solutions" was held on April 20 at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Khujand. Its initiators were the international student youth movement "Eurasian Express: Russia - Tajikistan - Kazakhstan " and Eurasian Commonwealth Foundation. April 24-25, 2018, the USUE Office for Interaction with Employers organized the refresher courses "Forming Communicative Competence for Interaction with Disabled People ". At the courses, USUE staff learned to interact with people who have health restrictions and disabilities. Lectures and trainings were conducted by inclusion specialists of the Accessible Environment Center, Sverdlovsk Regional Special Library for the Blind, All-Russia Society of the Deaf, and psychologists. Masters of inclusion told how to build a dialogue with people who are in a wheelchair, deaf, blind or suffering from a mental illness.

The interregional organization of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast, VEO of Russia and Ural Branch of VEO of Russia, as well as St. Petersburg State University and Ural State University of Economics issued a joint monograph "New Industrialization of Russia: Strategic Priorities of the Country and Possibilities of Urals".

April 19, at 12th international scientific and practical conference "Methods and Technology of Food Production" (section "Ecology and safety of technological processes") held at Mogilev State University of Food Technologies (Republic of Belarus), Rosa Timakova, Ph.D., USUE associate professor delivered a report "Radiation Technologies - New Opportunities for Ensuring Food Security".

The registration of participants for the forum "Terra Scientia” has started. From June 27 to August 12, the forum will receive about six thousand participants and six thematic sessions will take place.

The third day of IX Eurasian Economic Youth Forum was final. On this day, the congresses of the forum summed up the results, awarded winners and runners-up. At the awards ceremony of the Congress of Financiers, more than 50 diplomas and commemorative tokens of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum were presented.

The most pleasant and bright event for young participants of EEYF is traditionally the ceremony of awarding the winners and runners-up. This year, the Congress of Service Technologies gathered a record number of participants and surprised the organizers by the scale of its territorial coverage. April 18, 2018, USUE opened the International Belt Wrestling Tournament among students "EURASIA CUP-2018 ".

Chairman of the Expert Council on Financial Literacy under the Bank of Russia Anatoly Gavrilenko gave a lecture “Financial literacy - the responsibility of the Youth of Asia, Russia, and Africa" to USUE students. The lecture was held as part of the Congress of Financiers at IX Eurasian Economic Youth Forum.

One of the experts at the Congress of Economists was Prof. Helmut Keim, a researcher of the Institute of Educational Sciences of the Free University of Berlin, a researcher of politics and education, a member of the Board of the Confederation of the German Employers' Association in Cologne. April 12, the XX regional final of the contest of candidates of the Youth Public Organization "Sverdlovsk Regional Student Team" was held, in which 18 members of different teams took part.

Having made an excellent military career, Mikhail Pyatkov has succeeded in civilian life as well. 15 years before retirement, to be exact up to his 75 years, he was in charge of the HR service at USUE-SINH.
